    He is a very famous scholar about history of Sumatra;espacial East.
    What he really is doing as Sultan of Serdang is quite unknown.He speaks Dutch language fluently.
    Very peculair is,that his father Sultan Sulaiman was born 1861 and is fther of a son,who still lives as 72 year old Sultan in 2005!!His father Sultan Sulaiman Alam Syah of Serdang became Sultan in 1879.His father Sultan Basyaruddin I in 1851.So father and sons ruled Serdang from 1879 and still does in 2005:126 years later!2 brothers were resp. dynastychief and Sultan before.
